Rangers' Model Of Success, Has Stars Following

The Texas Rangers hired Ron Washington to manage the club on Octber 4th, 2006. The Rangers finished a disappointing 80-82 record in 2006 season and finished in third place in the american league west. The Rangers were unable to keep pace with the surging Oakland A's in the second half of the season.

The Rangers organization knew they needed to address their main issue, pitching. The Rangers pitching staff started off strong, then dropped to ninth in the american league.

The Rangers combined record was 535-599, with a winning percentage of just .472, the last year they made it to postseason in 1999.

The Rangers have always had the offense to win, but were lacking in pitching.

In Ron Washington's first year as manager for the Texas Rangers, his team finished with another dismal year at 75-87. The Rangers were five games worse from the year before. In 2008 his team finished 79-83, winning four games more than 2007.

Yes it was a little better, but not what the Rangers fans hoped for. The Rangers fans have been to the postseason only three times in franchise history. The Rangers fans were wondering if they would ever become a baseball town, or ever see their team go to the world series.

In the 2009 season the Rangers played well enough to make a trip to the postseason, going 89-73. However, they came up just short of making it to postseason play.

The Rangers fans saw a dramatic change in the way their baseball team played the game of baseball. They were exciting to watch and played hard every night.

Ron Washington's style of baseball, is for the players to play the game hard. He stresses to his team to play the game of baseball, because they enjoy it.

The Rangers players bought into Ron Washington's style of baseball. In 2010 the Texas Rangers won ninty games and captured the american league western division title. They won their first ever postseason series, when they beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in five games.

They faced their nemises in the amercan league championship series, the New York Yankees. The three years the Rangers went to postseason play, they faced the New York Yankees in the divisional series. The Yankees had their way with the Rangers, by beating them 3-1 in 1996. In 1998 and 1999, the Yankees swept them.

Even though these same Rangers in 2010, were not a part of the postseason, against the New York Yankees. The Rangers fans were able to see their baseball team defeat the Yankees 4-2, to go to their first ever world series.

The Rangers organization finally got their revenge on the Yankees.

The Rangers fans and the players finally could say, our team made it to the world series. The Rangers lost in the world series 4-1, to the San Francisco Giants.

The Rangers players were very determined to go back to the world series in 2011.

Ron Washington's baseball team does not like to make excuses, when they lose a baseball game or the world series.

The star players like Josh Hamilton and Michael Young, a long with their teammates said, "being on the big stage was something they've never experienced" and they were caught up in the moment.

They have done something the Rangers organization has never been a part of.

The Rangers players, were in the "AH" of the moment.

The Rangers fans were also in "AH," for what their baseball franchise accomplished in 2010.

Sure the Rangers fans wanted their team to win the world series. However, the fans were a part of something they have never experienced.

Almost every year the Rangers fans would support their team all the way to September, then it was time to watch football. The Dallas Cowboys franchise has always been the professional team that remotely had a chance to win a world championship.

How ironic the Rangers changed that in 2010.

The second year the Dallas Cowboys, invaded the Rangers home town. The first time the Dallas Cowboys hosted Super Bowl XLV. The city of Arlington hosted a world series and super bowl in the same year.

In the off-season the Rangers organization, was unable to sign their ace pitcher Cliff Lee to a multi-year contract, who they accquired from inner-division rival Seattle Mariners. As you can imagine the local media and critics said, there is no way the Rangers will be able to compete much less to go back to the world series in 2011, if they don't sign Cliff Lee to a multi-year contract.

The Rangers found away to sign a multi-year contract with free agent Adrian Beltre. The Rangers felt like signing Adrian Beltre for his defense would be the same as signing Cliff Lee as their ace pitcher.

The Rangers went out and added Yorvit Torrealba, so they would have an upgrade in the catching position. They traded Frank Francisco to the Toronto Blue Jays, to get Mike Napoli to be a utility player. Napoli can play catcher, first base, and be a designated hitter.

Michael Young was not very happy when the Rangers organizaton accquired Mike Napoli, to be a designated hitter and their utility man.

Michael Young felt like the Rangers organization had betrayed him, after he had agreed to be their full time designated hitter. Michael had requested to be traded before the 2011 season had started. The Rangers were unable to find a suitable ball club to deal him to.

With all the moves the Rangers made, it made them a stronger team in 2011, than 2010. The Rangers organization worked their issues out with Michael Young.

Even when spring training started, critics were wondering how Michael Young's issues with the organization would effect him and his teammates.

Ron Washington said, when Michael Young gets out on the field, he will be fine. Ron went on to say that Michael Young is a consumate professional, he will play the game the way he always does.

As we saw in the 2011 season that they over came all odds and went to their second consecutive world series. The reason for the success of the Texas Rangers organization is Ron Washington and their executive staff.

Ron Washington has an incredible relationship with his players and they respect their manager.

The Rangers have an outstanding farm system, and is regarded as the best in major league baseball. The Rangers have incredible talent, and through their success the last two seasons, they have become one of the powers in major league baseball to go after top notch free agents.

The Rangers will be around for a very long time, contending for the world series in 2012 and beyond.

As the Rangers have been successful sticking within their organization, they are also able to go after proven free agents.

The Dallas Stars, won the Stanley cup in 1999. The Dallas Stars were dominant through 1999-2005. In 2006-2007 they started to make some changes after their disappointing first round loss to the seventh seeded Colorado Avalanche.

In 2007-2008 the Dallas Stars returned to playoff prominence, then in 2008-2010 the Stars had their down years. Last year they did not make the playoffs, but improved with a 42-29-11 record.

The Dallas Stars organization has been looking at the Texas Rangers organization, who had improved dramatically in five years.

After the Stars missed the playoffs for their third consecutive year, they fired head coach Crawford on April 12, 2011.

They hired Glenn Gulutzan to be their head coach on June 16, 2011. With the hiring of Gulutzan, that makes six coaches they have hired, since moving from Minnesota.

The Dallas Stars knew they needed to make some moves in the off-season to get back to where the organization wants to be. They wanted to go out and pick up proven free agents to go with their talented youner players.

As Ron Washington of the Rangers, who has an outstanding relationship with his players, so does Glenn Gulutzan. The Dallas Stars are modeling their organization, after the Texas Rangers.  When the Stars saw the Rangers young talent surrounded by proven veteran players and how it made them successful.

The Dallas Stars organization, decided to make the same transition for their organization.

The Dallas Stars, went out this off-season to get some proven veteran players, to surround their young talent they already had.

The Dallas Stars have seen, how it has made the Rangers organization a major league power. Staying with young talent within their organization and accquiring veteran players to surround them.

As we've seen early on, in the 2011 hockey season. The Stars are 11-3, with the best record in the national hockey league. The Dallas Stars are playing hard in every game. The Stars have brought Dallas a Stanley cup in 1999, can the Stars get back to that dominance they had in 1999-2005.

The Dallas Stars, who are following the model of the Rangers, just might be the model they need to go back to the Stanley cup finals.

No matter what type of player nucleus an organization has. The key is to have a head coach, that has a great relationship with his players.

"It has been said, since the Rangers have made it to two consecutive world series, most major league teams are starting to follow the Rangers model of success."

How funny is that?

I remember when the Texas Rangers organization was a laughing stock. Now professional organizations are looking into, the Rangers model of success.

If the Dallas Stars are successful in 2011-2012 hockey season, we know that the Rangers model has worked for another local professional sports team. The Dallas Stars just might be a contender for the Stanley cup for years to come.

Game 6 Was The "Crushing" Blow For Texas' World Title

The Texas Rangers had a remarkable 2011 baseball season with ninty-six wins in the season. However, that was not good enough for the Rangers or their fans.

The point is that the Rangers had a ninty win season a year ago, going to their first ever world series. The Rangers were new on the big stage scene, and it showed. The San Francisco Giants starting pitching and bullpen quieted Josh Hamilton, who was the MVP of the 2010 ALCS. The rest of the Rangers lineup could not figure out the dominant pitching staff the Giants had during the series.

The Rangers salvaged game four of the series, when Colby Lewis was impressive against the Giants batters.

The Rangers went on to lose the 2010 world series in five games.

This year was a different story. The Rangers came into the 2011 season, with one thing on their mind. To defend their American League pennant, and to go back to the world series.

The Rangers defeated the Rays in four games in the divisional series.

Texas was one series away to successfully defending their American League pennant. They had to face the Detroit Tigers, who won ninty-five games this season.

The Tigers' starting pitching was the best pitching staff, that remained in the playoffs. The Rangers had home field advantage, and they took advantage of that opportunity. They won the first two games in the series.

The Rangers went on to defeat the Tigers in six games, to successfully defend their American League pennant from a year ago.

The Rangers went to their second consecutive world series, they were hungry to make up for last years' loss to the Giants.

The Cardinals took the first game of the series, beating the Rangers 3-2.

The second game of the series, looked like the Cardinals were going to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they were leading in the top of the ninth inning 1-0.

For eight innings Texas could not figure out Jaime Garcia and the Cardinals bullpen. Texas stole game two from the Cardinals, when they scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning. Texas went on to win game two 2-1.

In game three of the series Albert Pujols set major league history, hitting three home runs off three different pitchers in the same game. The Cardinal blew out the Rangers 16-7.

The Rangers found themselves with a must win situation. They called on twenty-five year old Derek Holland, and he pitched an outstanding eight and one third innings of shutout ball to beat the Cardinals 4-0 to tie the series 2-2.

Rangers took the series lead 3-2, when they beat the Cardinals 4-2 in game five.

The scheduled game six was postponed, until Thursday. The St. Louis Cardinals were facing elimination. The game was tied 4-4 going into the sixth inning, when the Rangers scored three runs to open up a 7-4 lead.

Everything look good for the Rangers, their first world championship was in their grasp.

Allen Craig cut the lead to 7-5 in the eighth inning.

If you were a Rangers fan, the unthinkable was about to happen.

Rangers are up by two runs with two outs and runners on first and second base. David Freese hits a two run triple in right field, to tie the game 7-7.

Nellie Cruz misplayed the ball and it went over his head, and hit the wall.

Nellie Cruz would have made that particular play 99.9% of the time.


However, Josh Hamilton hit a two run blast in the top of the tenth inning, to give the Rangers a 9-7 lead.

St. Louis had runners in scoring position with two outs in the bottom of the tenth inning, and tied the game 9-9.

The sting and disbelief of the Rangers fans, was devastating.

The Rangers fans have not seen this type of play at the end of any baseball game all season long.

What coulda, shoulda, or woulda been, was nothing but a devastating loss.

When the Rangers had a two run lead late in the game, they went on to win. However, the game six loss, turned the series in St. Louis' favor.

All the critics said, the loss did not eliminate the Rangers. The Cardinals were playing the game not to be eliminated from the series.

The Rangers started off the first inning in game seven, with a 2-0 lead. That lead did not hold up long at all. St. Louis even the score 2-2 in the bottom half of the first inning.

The Rangers needed to get off to a quick start, they scored two runs in the first inning. It looked as if the Rangers was putting the pressure on the Cardinals. However, the Cardinals responded immediately and tied the game in the bottom half of the first inning.

The Rangers never threatened to score the rest of the game. While the Cardinals took advantage of the Rangers mistakes. After David Freese gave the Cardinals the lead in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a solo home run to make the score 3-2.

In the fifth inning Colby Lewis gave up a single and loaded the bases with two walks. Lewis walked in a run, then C.J. Wilson came in and hit the first batter he faced to make the score 5-2.

The Rangers played flat, like all of their spark was taken away from them. It seemed as if they were in a fog from the night before.

The Rangers have always been good at coming back from poorly played games from the day before. They would always rebound back and played errorless ball.

The Rangers have proved that this season, they have not back-to-back games since August 24th.

Exactly two months.

There was no talk about the Rangers, going to play poorly in game seven.

However, you could tell the performance in game seven, was still a hang over from the night before.

Having the world series in their grasp, then relinquishing it.

They simply were not over that night.
What the Rangers let slip away in game six, came back to bite them in game seven.

The game that will always be remembered in the 2011 world series, will be game six. That game will be haunting the Rangers and their fans, until next April.

What shoulda, coulda, woulda, or even a what if????

The Rangers will be loaded in 2012, and they have one of the best farm systems in the major leagues. They will be back in the hunt for 2012.

However, it's hard to win back-to-back american league pennants, to go to consecutive world series.

Can the Rangers beat all odds, and get to their third consecutive world series in 2012?

The Rangers don't want to be the Buffalo Bills of baseball.

Get to the "Fall Classic," and not win a world championship.

The Rangers have changed their area code to 042.

Texas is a young team, who has the talent and potential to go deep into the playoffs again next year. However, when you get to the "Fall Classic" in consecutive years, it's a must you win it.

The most famous line we use is:

Maybe next year.

Well, even that saying gets old.

We want to win the world championship the same year you have that opportunity.

There is nothing left at this point, accept we have to wait until next year.

Now the Cowboys' are in the spot light.

They are as far off, being contenders for a Super Bowl.

It's not even funny.

That's why the people in the DFW Metroplex, needed the Rangers to win their first ever world championship and world series.

Since both the Rangers and Cowboys now play in the same city.

All the Rangers and Rangers fans can do now is hope 2012 is the third consecutive world series for them.

Hope that the third time will be the "charm."

Rangers and Cardinals Playing For All The Marbles

The Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals are playing one game to decide, who will be the best in baseball in 2011. As, baseball fans will tune in tonight, to watch game seven of the world series. The Rangers and Cardinals are playing the winner take all game.

Who will be the 2011 MLB world champions?

When the Cardinals' David Freese, who is their home town player. Hit a long home run into the center field grass in the bottom of the eleventh inning, sent the series to the limit.

Texas seemingly having a commanding lead at 7-4 going into the bottom of the eighth inning. However, with one out in the inning, Allen Craig hit a home run to left field to cut the lead to 7-5.

Texas with a 7-5 lead going to the bottom of the ninth inning, with the reliable Rangers' closer Neftali Feliz coming on to face Ryan Theriot, Albert Pujols, and Lance Berkman. Neftali Feliz has been seven for seven closing out games in the postseason.

With one out Albert Pujols hits a double to center fielder Josh Haminlton., then Neftali Feliz walked Lance Berkman on four consecutive balls. With men on first and second, Allen Craig then strikes out swinging. With the game on the line for the Cardinals, home town favorite David Freese with two strikes on him hits a triple to right fielder Nellie Cruz to tie the game 7-7.

The Rangers going into the tenth inning, to try to regain the lead. Rangers Elvis Andrus singles to center fielder Jon Jay, then Josh Hamilton hits his first home run in postseason to give the Rangers a 9-7 lead. The Rangers looked like they, would salvage the come back Cardinals and win their first world series.

The Rangers' Darren Oliver came into face Daniel Descalso, Jon Jay, and Kyle Lohse, who was the bottom of the Cardinals batting order. Kyle Lohse had to bat in this situation, since the Cardinals bench was empty.

St. Louis' Daniel Descalso and Jon Jay singled off Darren Oliver, then Kyle Lohse bunted over Adrian Beltre's head to move the runners to second and third. Ryan Theriot grounded out to third baseman Adrian Beltre to score Daniel Descalso to cut the Rangers lead to 9-8.

With two outs.

Lance Berkman was down to his last strike, when he singles to center fielder Josh Hamilton to score Jon Jay to tie the game 9-9.

In the Rangers top of the eleventh, they were unable to get anything going.

St. Louis' home town hero David Freese, led off their half of the eleventh inning. Rangers' Mark Lowe came into the game to face David Freese, who tied the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. David Freese hit a long home run into the center field grass, to beat the Rangers 10-9 to force a game seven.

Experts called game six a classic game.

This was not a classic game in the world series.

Game six was a classic, dramatic game in world series history.

St. Louis and Texas had five errors between them.

St. Louis 3 errors Texas 2 errors.

Neither one of these teams were even close to playing the defense, we've seen in this series.

Michael Young committed both of the Rangers errors, while Matt Holliday (drops fly ball), David Freese (dropped pop-up), and relief pitcher Fernando Salas throws an errant throw to second base into center field.

Game six was nothing but a "sloppy" game, before the offenses took over the game.

The Rangers had two different opportunities to win the world series, being one strike away twice. Also, going into the bottom of the ninth and tenth innings with two run leads.

With the winner take all game on Fox tonight.

What type of a game will we see?

Seemingly the Cardinals will be going with their ace pitcher Chris Carpenter, on three days rest. The Rangers' Matt Harrison will be toeing the rubber. The Rangers' Matt Harrison has been the scheduled pitcher for game seven, all along.

Texas is a young baseball team, that likes facing challenges. Tonight will not be any different, for the Rangers. Texas' backs have been against the wall before, they seem to thrive in these situations.

The Cardinals are know different than the Rangers. The Cardinals crashed the postseason party, being ten and a half games out of the wild card to win on the last day of the season.

That's why this is such a "great" world series.

Both teams are evenly matched.

Tonight is the last game of baseball this season.

St. Louis or Texas?

If the Rangers win tonight, it will be their first world series championship in franchise history.

If the Cardinals win tonight, it will be their franchises eleventh world series championship.

What Texas Has Going For Them:

Texas has not lost consecutive games, since late August.

St. Louis' thirty-six year old pitcher Chris Carpenter, will not have the same stuff on three days rest.

The home team of the seventh game of the world series, has won.

The young Texas team is not worried about that statistic, they have made history through out this postseason.

They will make history again tonight, by beating those odds.

I'm not sure how this game will go down tonight, however i'm not going to bet against the Texas Rangers. Some how the Rangers will find a way to get the job done.

I do expect the Rangers to be at their best offensively and defensively tonight. I believe that Matt Harrison will pitch a solid six innings, and the bullpen with Holland, Wilson, and Feldman will be ready to pitch multiple innings if needed.

The bullpen will rectify their woes, from last night.

With the history of Chris Carpenter pitching on three days rest, against the Phillies in the NLDS.

I don't believe Chris Carpenter will be effective, against the Rangers' batters.

Everything will be answered tonight.

Texas Is Going For Their First World Championship Thursday Night

Wednesday night they were scheduled to play game six of the World Series, major league officials cancelled the game around two-thirty eastern time. The reason for the cancelation of game six, was due to inclement weather heading into St. Louis while the game would be playing.

The people working in the concession stands were preparing food for game six of the World Series, when major league officials cancelled the game for Thursday night. The funny thing, there wasn't even a drop of rain when the game was cancelled. The tarp was not on the field, both the Cardinals and Rangers were on the field playing catch.

The players were hanging out throwing the baseball and football around.

The Texas Rangers going into game six of the World Series, is leading the series 3-2. With all the momentum on the Rangers side, then a cancellation of the scheduled game six.

Sounds "FISHY" to me.

The Cardinals have not been so "stellar," after they blew out Texas in game three. The Cardinals' Albert Pujols set major league history, by hitting three home runs against three different pitchers. He had six runs batted in and went 5 for 6.

Ever since that historical day he's been 0 for 6, with three intentiona walks.

"King" Albert failed two times in a row, when he called his own hit and run. The first time Allen Craig was thrown out trying to steal second base, the second attempt "King" Albert struck out swinging and Allen Craig was caught trying to steal second base.

Wow, if that was not bad enough, the great Tony La Russa brought in the wrong relief pitcher to face Mike Napoli, who hit a two run double to give the Rangers a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Tony La Russa blamed the Rangers for his mistake bringing out the wrong releif pitcher. He said, "i thought (RHP) Jason Motte was warming up in the bullpen and ready to go, instead the Cardinals brought out the (LHP) Marc Rzepczynski.

Being one of the most praised managers in baseball as Tony La Russa is, you would have thought he'd get on the phone in the dugout to his bullpen. To make sure his (RHP) Jason Motte was ready to come into the game.

Seventeen years ago, when Tom Schieffer had the Ballpark in Arlington designed. He intentionally had the vistiors bullpen in left field, where they could not see who was warming up. The left field bullpen has a screen in front, where it's not visible for the opposing team to see who's warming up.

Who'd thought seventeen years later in a World Series, it would pay off.

Clearly Tony La Russa, has been out managed by Ron Washington in this series. Tony La Russa, who's the veteran on the big stage has mismanaged his team.

"He's made bad decisions constantly, the latest mistake cost him a two run double to lose the game."

The Rangers will win game six tomorrow night, to clinch the franchises first ever World championship.

The reason the Rangers will win tomorrow night, they are a better team than the Cardinals in all facets of the game. There lineup is deeper, and they clearly are the best defensive team. Colby Lewis, who is the most successful postseason pitcher for the Rangers, is on the mound.

The Rangers have struggled on getting the clutch hit, to score runs early on in the series. However, the Cardinals have missed scoring opportunity after opportunity. In game five they left twenty-two men on base, twice the bases were loaded. In game four they only had two base hits, against the young twenty-five year old lefty Derek Holland.

All this after the Cardinals routed Texas 16-7.

It's obvious you shut down "King" Albert contributing to the Cardinals offense, they are dead in the water. Matt Holliday and Lance Berkman have not been productive hitters, when Albert Pujols has been intentionally walked.

In Sundays 4-0 shutout, Lance Berkman was the only Cardinal to get the two hits, off Derek Holland.

The Rangers lineup is so deep, there is no way the Cardinals can intentionally walk anybody. Especially if Mike Napoli is hitting in the eighth spot in the lineup.

Texas' combination with Ian Kinsler and Elvis Andrus on defense up the middle, their defensive play has robbed hits by the Cardinals.

Ian Kinsler and Elvis Andrus, two of the best defensive combinations in all of baseball.

The Rangers may not have the best starting pitching in baseball. However, all five of their starting pitchers won thirteen games or more in regular season play. Know other team including the Philadelphia Phillies did that.

The Rangers have pitching, defense, and the deepest lineup in all of baseball.

That's why the Rangers are going to close out the series tomorrow night and win their first ever World championship.

"It's tough to win won ALCS championship, to go to the World Series. It's incredible to win a second consecutive ALCS, to go to a second consecutive World Series!"

The Rangers were doubted they would be able to defend their coveted American League pennant, without an ace pitcher. However, the Rangers are a much better team, because of their defense, and depth in their lineup.

"Where experts doubted the Rangers, the Rangers did not doubt themselves, or how good they are playing the game of baseball."

Ron Washington, his coaches, and the executive office of the Rangers, Jon Daniels and Nolan Ryan need to be applauded for their efforts. They all gave the Rangers fans what they deserve, championship caliber baseball.

"The Rangers will accomplish their ultimate goal tomorrow night, winning the World Series and their first ever World championship."

 To bring the World Series trophy home, to "Title" town.

The Dallas Mavericks, will have won their first ever franchise World championship in the same year.

Cowboys' Rookie DeMarco Murray Has Record Day

The Dallas Cowboys came into Sundays game with a 2-3 record, going against the winless St. Louis Rams. The Cowboys' Felix Jones was unable to play in Sunday's contest, due to a high ankle sprain.

The Cowboys started Tashard Choice, with a seven yard run. Rookie DeMarco Murray takes a hand off from Tony Romo and went ninty-one yards for a touchdown. The Cowboys' rookie DeMarco Murray's run was the start of a record setting day. His ninty-one yard run from the line of scrimmage, was the second longest run in Cowboy history. Murray ran for two-hundred fifty-three yards, which is the ninth best in the national football league.

Rangers' Holland Dominates Cards, To Even Up Series

The Texas Rangers came into game four of World Series, with a must win. The Cardinals took advantage of the Rangers on Saturday night, with a 16-7 pounding. Texas' twenty-five year old Derek Holland, was called on to try to tie the series.

Texas' starting pitching has had trouble going deep into baseball games, this postseason. The display Cardinals' Albert Pujols put on Saturday night, hitting three homers, six runs batted in, and went 5 for 6. Albert Pujols performance was just scary. The Rangers in a must needed win, went to youngster Derek Holland to face the Cardinals offense led by Albert Pujols, who made history the night before. The Rangers fans were not really sure what they may get out of the young Derek Holland, who has looked dominant at times and not so dominant in other games.

Derek Holland answered the call for his team, fans, and manager Ron Washington. Derek Holland was simply dominant against the Cardinals. Holland was probably as dominant as Ranger fans have ever seen. He allowed only two hits in eight and one third innings, no runs. The only two hits that Holland gave up were to Lance Berkman. That's right Albert Pujols, who hit three home runs in game three, off of three different pitchers.

Young Derek Holland pitched Sunday night, like no other Rangers starter. He pitched deep in the game, and was dominant doing so.

The Texas Rangers gave their pitcher Derek Holland an early 1-0 lead, when Elvis Andrus hit a single to left fielder Matt Holliday. Josh Hamilton hit a line drive double into the right field corner, to score Elvis Andrus from first base. Rangers had a chance to add on more runs, but St. Louis' Edwin Jackson was able to get out of the inning to limit the damage.

Texas' and St. Louis' pitchers matched each other, since the first inning. The Rangers had a rally in the sixth inning, when St. Louis' Edwin Jackson walked both Nellie Cruz and David Murphy. St. Louis' manager took Edwin Jackson out to have, Mitchell Boggs pitch to Mike Napoli. Mike Napoli hit the first pitch he saw into the left field stands to give the Rangers a commanding 4-0 lead.

Mike Napoli said, "he new that Mitchell Boggs has an outstanding sinker and new that he would try to pitch him inside. Mike Napoli was lookin for a fast ball and that was Mitchell Boggs first pitch, and he drove it out of the ballpark."

The dominance of Derek Holland continued into the ninth inning, until he walked Rafael Furcal. Ron Washington takes out Derek Holland, to go to his closer Neftali Feliz. Texas' Neftali Feliz walked Allen Craig to have men on first and second. King Albert comes to the plate, who could change the game with one big swing of the bat. Neftali Feliz was able to get King Albert when he hit a fly ball to center fielder Craig Gentry. Neftali Feliz ended the game, when he struck out Matt Holliday swinging.

After seeing twenty-three total runs in game three, the next night only four runs were scored. That team happened to be the home team Texas Rangers.

Rangers Are Battered By Cardinals' Pujols

The Rangers and Cardinals came into Saturday nights game three of World Series, tied 1-1. The previous games have been pitching duels, going down to the ninth inning. With the series moving to Texas, fans were wondering if the pitching duels would continue, or would both deep lineups put on an offensive display.

The ballpark in Arlington is more of a hitters park than Busch stadium in St. Louis. The Cardinals' Allen Craig started the scoring when he hit a shot in the first inning to left field to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead. Texas could not seem to figure out St. Louis' pitcher Kyle Lohse. The Cardinals extended their lead in the fourth inning, when they scored four runs, to take a 5-0 lead. The top of the fourth inning was a very unusual inning, to say the least.

Albert Pujols lead off with a line drive single to left fielder David Murphy, Matt Holliday hits into a force to Elvis Andrus. Matt Holliday reaches first base on a controversial play at first base, where it appeared that Mike Napoli tagged Holliday before he reached first base. However, that just started the disastrous inning for the home team and their fans.

With Matt Holliday on first base, Lance Berkman singled to right fielder Nellie Cruz on a line drive. With Holliday on second base and Berkman on first base, David Freese hits a line drive double to right fielder Nellie Cruz, to score Holliday to extend the lead to 2-0. Texas' Matt Harrison intentionally walks Yadier Molina to load the bases. Jon Jay hits into a force attempt, but reaches on the throwing error by first baseman Mike Napoli. The throwing error by Mike Napoli, scores Lance Berkman and David Freese to take a 4-0 lead. Ryan Theriot capped off the inning by hitting a single to left fielder David Murphy, scoring Yadier Molina to make the score 5-0.

With the first two games of the World Series, runs had been hard to come by. With St. Louis taking a 5-0 lead in the fourth inning, it looked as if the game might be over. In the Rangers half of the fourt inning Michael Young lead off the inning cutting the lead to 5-1, on his solo homer to right field. Then Rangers' Adrian Beltre singled on a ground ball to left fielder Matt Holliday, then Nellie Cruz hits a two run homer to right field to cut St. Louis' lead to 5-3. Ian Kinsler flied out to left fielder Matt Holliday, who doubled up Mike Napoli at the plate to end the Rangers fourth inning. Suddenly what looked like a blow out was a game again.

St. Louis' Albert Pujols lead off the fifth inning with a line drive single to center fielder Josh Hamilton, then Matt Holliday and Lance Berkman both walked. With the bases loaded, David Freese grounds out to third baseman Adrian Beltre to score Albert Pujols to make the score 6-3. Yadier Molina hits a line drive double to left fielder David Murphy to score Matt Holliday and Lance Berkman to make the score 8-3.

The Texas Rangers don't have that quitting mentality in their blood, as you would expect they would come back. Texas' Elvis Andrus singles to left fielder Matt Holliday, then Josh Hamilton singled to right fielder Allen Craig. Texas' Michael Young doubled on a sharp ground ball to left fielder Matt Holliday to score Elvis Andrus to cut into St. Louis' lead 8-4. Adrian Beltre hit a soft line drive to left fielder Matt Holliday to score Josh Hamilton, and moved Michael Young to third base. The Rangers still had nobody out, they cut the St. Louis lead to 8-5. Texas' Nellie Cruz strikes out swinging, then Mike Napoli hi a sacrifice fly to right fielder Allen Craig, to score Michael Young to cut the lead to 8-6. St. Louis' pitcher Lance Lynn walked David Murphy and Yorvit Torrealba to load the bases. Ian Kinsler came to the plate and pops up to shortstop Rafael Furcal to end the inning.

The Rangers cut their deficit to two runs for the second inning in a row, however they missed opportunities to have a bigger inning. When you thought that the Rangers are back in the game the St. Louis offense struck again. The outstanding Raners bullpen seemed to unravel. Texas' Alexi Ogando, who has been so impressive through out the postseason started the sixth inning. He walked Ryan Theriot, then Rafael Furcal singles to left fielder Nellie Cruz. Then with one out in the inning, Albert Pujols "crushes" an Alexi Ogando pitch to left field for a three run home run, to extend the lead to 11-6. The St. Louis Cardinals were not done, Matt Holliday reaches on a fielding error by shortstop Elvis Andrus, then Lance Berkman singled on a line drive to right fielder Nellie Cruz. Texas' Alexi Ogando then gives up another walk to David Freese, then Yadier Molina hit a sacrifice fly, to score Matt Holliday to make the lead 12-6.

St. Louis' relief pitcher Lance Lynn calmed down the Rangers offense, to keep the big lead in the game. St. Louis scored two more runs in the seventh on a Albert Pujols deep homer to score Allen Craig to make the score 14-6. The Rangers cut the lead to 14-7, when they added another run off Mike Napoli's sacrifice fly to score Adrian Beltre. St. Louis adde another run in the eighth, then Albert Pujols capped off the offensive assault on the Rangers by hitting his third homer of the game in the ninth. St. Louis takes the advantage of the Rangers and the World Series. winning 16-7.

St. Louis is the first team to score multiple runs, in four consecutive innings. Albert Pujols put his name in the major league books, to hit three home runs in a World Series game. Albert Pujols went 5 for 6, hitting three home runs and six runs batted in.

Sunday nights game is a must win for the Texas Rangers, if they don't win they will be down 3-1. They will have to face St. Louis' ace pitcher Chris Carpenter, in game five.

After Saturday nights offensive display by Albert Pujols. My advice DO NOT pitch to him. He's more dangerous than Miguel Cabrerra.

The Texas Rangers, may have a deeper lineup, but they don't have an Albert Pujols.

Derek Holland will need to pitch deep into game four, and the Rangers offense will need to take advantage of all of their scoring opportunities.

Rangers Steal Game Two Of World Series, From Cards

Game two of the 2011 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers, would be a crucial game in the series. St. Louis came into the game with a 1-0 lead on Texas, with a 3-2 win on Wednesday night. St. Louis was looking to take a 2-0 lead on Texas, while Texas was trying to salvage a game to tie the series. A win in game two for Texas would be big, coming home for games three, four and five.

Texas' Colby Lewis, who is 4-1 in postseason play was called on to be the series savior. Lewis was matched up against St. Louis' Jaime Garcia. Going into game two of the series, you knew that it would be another battle between the two teams. Well, neither team disappointed baseball fans.

The Cardinals and Rangers starting pitching has had problems through out postseason, going deep into games. Wednesday night St. Louis' pitcher Chris Carpenter pitched six solid innings giving up two runs, while Texas' pitcher C. J. Wilson went five and two-third innings giving up three runs. Allen Craig drove in the lead run, when he singled to right fielder Nellie Cruz. David Freese scored on the single, which turned out to be the winning run 3-2.

In game two of the World Series, was no different. St. Louis' Jaime Garcia pitched a solid seven innings, while Texas' Colby Lewis pitched a solid six and two-third innings. When Lewis left the game, St. Louis' Nick Punto was on first base and David Freese was on third base. Alexi Ogando came into the game in the same situation as Wednesday night, with Allen Craig at the plate. Allen Craig delivered another pinch hit single to right fielder Nellie Cruz to score David Freese to take a 1-0 lead.

"Alexi Ogando threw the same exact pitch to Allen Craig as he did on Wednesday night, a slider outside the strike zone."

Earlier in the game Texas' offense continued to struggle, by not delivering the clutch hit to take the lead in the fourth inning. Ian Kinsler walked, then Andrus flied out to right fielder Lance Berkman and Josh Hamilton flied out to left fielder Matt Holliday. Adrian Beltre came to the plate with two outs, he strikes out swinging.

As you would have expected the game came down to the bullpen and the managers managing the game. St. Louis' Tony La Russa was one game up on Texas' manager Ron Washington. The game came down to the ninth inning, with St. Louis ahead of Texas 1-0. St. Louis' manager Tony La Russa brought in Jason Motte to try to close out Texas to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Elvis Andrus then hits a line drive single to center fielder Jon Jay, Ian Kinsler to third base. Elvis Andrus advances to second base on the over throw to Albert Pujols. St. Louis' manager Tony La Russa takes Jason Motte out for Arthur Rhodes to face Josh Hamilton. Texas' Josh Hamilton hits a sacrifice fly to right fielder Skip Schumaker off of Arthur Rhodes, to score Ian Kinsler to tie the game 1-1. The sacrifice fly to right fielder Skip Schumaker was hit so deep, Elvis Andrus moved to third base. Tony La Russa goes to the mound to take Arthur Rhodes out of the game for Lance Lynn to face Michael Young. Texas' Michael Young has also been struggling like Josh Hamilton through out the postseason at the plate, but he delivered a sacrifice fly to center fielder Jon Jay, to score the winning run 2-1.

"Josh Hamilton was asked, if he was surprised that Tony La Russa took out Jason Motte for Arthur Rhodes. Josh Hamilton said, "yes he was surprised by the move. He said, Jason Motte can throw a one-hundred mile an hour fast ball, compared to Arthur Rhodes eighty-nine mile an hour fast ball.

Josh Hamilton also said, "he's not in the position to make those types of calls. He was glad that Tony La Russa did make the change though."

Well, if the World Series comes down to which manager manages the game better, then Ron Washington and Tony La Russa are tied up one to one.

Oh, so is the World Series.

Texas' Ian Kinsler was asked, did the win tonight save the series? Ian said, no i don't think the win tonight saved the series, but with the win we feel better about ourselves going back home to perform in front of our fans.

If Texas did not steal this win from the St. Louis Cardinals, Texas would have been in a deep hole. They had to win against the Cardinals tonight, so they would not have been in the same scenario as last year.

Down 2-0 to the Giants.

The win by Texas tonight, definitely is a momentum changer.

However, Josh Hamilton and Michael Young need to be more productive at the plate in the next three games at home.

I'm just wondering, if  Ron Washington might need to move Nellie "BOOMSTICK" Cruz back in the seventh spot in the order, to get him back in the "swing" of things again. Texas' offense has been more stagnant since manager Ron Washington moved Nellie Cruz up to sixth in the lineup.

Rangers Lack Of Offense In Game 1 Of WS,Cost Them

Texas' second, third, and fourth spots in lineup, were all hitless in game one of the World Series. Ian Kinsler and Adrian Beltre both had two hits a piece. The only offense the Rangers could muster up was from Mike Napoli, who hit a two run home run in the fifth inning that tied the game at two runs a piece.

The Rangers had a chance to take the lead in the ball game, when Ian Kinsler was on second base in the sixth inning, with one out. Josh Hamilton hit a fly ball to center field, then Ian Kinsler moved over to third base. Michael Young, who has been struggling like Josh Hamilton in this years postseason, hit a ground ball down the first base line. Albert Pujols made an outstanding play to throw out Michael Young at first base to end the inning.

The St. Louis Cardinals took advantage in their half of the sixth inning, when David Freese doubled on a line drive to right field. With two outs C. J. Wilson walked Nick Punto. Allen Craig pinch hits and singles to right field off reliable Alexi Ogando, to score David Freese to make the score 3-2.

The Rangers had chances to take the lead in the seventh inning, but they could not produce the clutch hit. The first game of the World Series, went down to which manager, managed the game the best. St. Louis' Tony La Russa is up one game on Rangers' manager Ron Washington.

Ron Washington had Nellie Cruz on second base and Mike Napoli on first base, with only one out. He had Craig Gentry pinch hit for David Murphy, against St. Louis pitcher Marc Rzepczynski. Craig Gentry was called out on strikes. Ron Washington had Esteban German pinch hit for Alexi Ogando, when he had Yorvit Torrealba available in the dugout. Esteban German, who has only fourteen at bats and not even on the ALDS or ALCS postseason roster, strikes out swinging.

"Ron Washington said, he felt like Esteban German, was a good choice at that time of the game. He felt like German was the better match-up, in that situation."

Both, St. Louis and Texas offensive power were both frozen, with the weather and temperature in the low 40's being the coldest in any World Series. However, for the Rangers to win this series and a World Championship, both Josh Hamilton and Michael Young have to be more productive at the plate. Ian Kinsler, Adrian Beltre, Nellie Cruz, and Mike Napoli have been the most productive through out the postseason this year.

"If this years World Series, comes down to which manager manages the game. Will Tony La Russa continue his magic? Ron Washington said, he likes managing baseball games the way the National League is played, with no designated hitter."

If game one is any indication of a pitchers dual, St. Louis may have the upper hand. However, if Josh Hamilton and Michael Young contribute at the plate like they are used to doing, Rangers should have the upper hand.

The St. Louis Cardinals have a 1-0 lead on the Texas Rangers, but there is still a lot of baseball to be played. When you think a seven game series is a lot of time to make adjustments, really it's over before you know it.

Rangers Try To Duplicate, What Mavs Did Earlier This Year!

Tonight Texas and St. Louis will begin their quest to be the best in baseball, in 2011. The St. Louis Cardinals franchise has won ten World Championships,the most in the National League. St. Louis' ten World Championships is the second most in the major leagues. The New York Yankees have won twenty-seven World Championships.

While the St. Louis Cardinals have established their history in major league baseball, the Texas Rangers are trying to win their first ever World Series. Texas' franchise has set some major league records of their own this postseason. They are the first team in a decade to win back-to-back American League pennants, the New York Yankees were the last team to do it. Texas' seventh place hitter Nellie Cruz, was the first player to hit a walk-off "grandslam," in the postseason. When you thought that was impressive. Cruz hit six home runs in the ALCS, which is the most in a postseason series.

The Texas Rangers won their first American League pennant and went to their first ever World Series, in franchise history last year. The Texas Rangers have been in Texas for thirty-nine years, they have now won their second consecutive American League pennant and a trip to their second consecutive "Fall Classic." Some people may have thought what the Rangers accomplished in 2010, was a fluke.

"The Rangers proved in 2011 that their accomplishments a year ago, was no fluke. There should be no doubters anymore. This Texas Rangers baseball team is for "Real." The Texas Rangers franchise, now has the respect of all major league ball clubs."

Ron Washington's baseball team can compete with the very best, and they are not afraid of any challenges they are faced with. The Rangers had to face Tampa Bay in the ALDS and Detroit in the ALCS, who both have very difficult pitching staffs. Texas' starting rotation was not credited for any of their wins in the ALCS. Texas' strong and deep bullpen came in and was almost unhittable, to keep the Rangers in the game and give them a chance to win.

Sources say, St. Louis' pitching staff is not even close to Tampa Bays' or Detroits' pitching staffs, who the Rangers faced in the ALDS and ALCS. The Texas Rangers are always calm and loose, no matter what the challenges might be. They prepare for the postseason, the same way they do for any baseball game. They enjoy playing baseball and have fun doing it.

"They always want to perform well in front of their fans,  by rewarding them by the way they perform on the baseball field."

The Texas Rangers are still a very young team and they have one of the best minor league systems in the major leagues, if not in all of baseball. When you think about it, as long as Nolan Ryan and Jon Daniels are a part of this franchise, their ball club will always be in a hunt to win World Championships.

If the Texas Rangers do indeed win their first ever World Series, they will duplicate the Dallas Mavericks, who won their first ever NBA championship. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex will have two pro teams to win their first ever "World Title," in the same year.

The Texas Rangers will finish off the surprising St. Louis Cardinals in six games. The Rangers bullpen with Alexi Ogando, Mike Adams, and Neftali Feliz, will over power the Cardinals batting line-up.

Cowboys Fall To 2-3, After Loss To The Pats

The Dallas Cowboys are a mediocre 2-3 team, which they should be undefeated and 5-0. Wow, another terrible start. Yes they have a little better record this season, than they did last year. However, they've played much better on defense than was expected, with Rob Ryan's complexed defense.

The Cowboys have lost games this season, they had no business losing. They have lost three leads late in games. It started in the first game of the season against the New York Jets, when they gave up a fourteen point lead in the fourth quarter. They were up twenty-four points on the Detroit Lions, they gave that lead away in the second half. They lost Sunday leading 16-13 to the New England Patriots, in the last drive of the game 20-16.

Yes, i know we were only up by three points in New England, we were facing the great Tom Brady. Tom Brady is known to win crucial games down the stretch. However, that great quarterback Tom Brady and his offense could not move the ball on Dallas' defense the entire game.

Dallas has a quarterback in Tony Romo, who should have put the ball in the end-zone. Instead when Dallas was in the red-zone they could only manage three points.

All the critics were talking about how weak the New England Patriots defense was. How Tony Romo and the Cowboys should  move the ball at will on the Patriots weak defense. All the critics were saying, New England's secondary was the worst in the NFL. Maybe so, that was before they faced the inconsistent Dallas offense.

Either the Dallas Cowboys offense is weak, or the New England Patriots defense is a lot better than people give them credit for. The Cowboys pro-bowl quarterback threw for over three-hundred yards, still could not win the game. Tom Brady threw under three-hundred yards, but managed to drive the ball down the field to score the winning touchdown, on Dallas' defense. The Patriots won the game 20-16.


The Cowboys problem all year long has been inconsistency on the offensive side of the ball. They look like they are one of the best offenses in the league, then the next week they look terrible. Critics are wondering if the problem lies with Dallas' head coach Jason Garrett, calling the plays. The leader of the offense Tony Romo, can play a flawless half, then comes out in the second half and stinks up the joint. Romo looks like he's in a fog at times. He tries to make to many plays, then he'll throw an ill-advised pass for an interception or fumble the ball.

I don't mind a quarterback being aggressive, but don't try to make plays that are not there. Cowboy fans are frustrated week after week, with Tony Romo's reckless abandon style of play.

Sunday's game was not so much the mistakes, Romo made. He and the Cowboys offense just simply melted down in the red-zone, where Dallas had to settle for field goals. The Cowboys had so many opportunities to beat the Patriots, where many people did not even give them a chance to win the game.

Tony Romo and the offense has cost the Cowboys three games they should have won, instead they could not score touchdowns, or Tony Romo would try to make plays that simply were not there. Then he would turn the ball over, that cost his team a victory.

Like i said at the beginning of this article, the Cowboys should be undefeated at 5-0. Giving up three games in the season, they had know business losing. Makes the Cowboys just a mediocre team.

Yes i know that there is a lot of football to be played, but letting games get away from you is costly in football. When you only have sixteen games in a season, there is very little margin for error. Dallas is 0-3 this season leading games late in the second half.

That's simply put.

Not good!

Dallas' next game is Sunday at Cowboys' Stadium against the St. Louis Rams. I would say the Cowboys should win this game with know problem.

However, which Cowboy team is going to show up on Sunday?

Dallas Cowboy fans will find out the answer, Sunday around 6:15 or 6:30 pm.

Texas Rangers In Back-To-Back "World Series!"

Texas Rangers fans have been waiting since 1972 to see their baseball team be an impact in major league baseball. The Rangers have been in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for thirty-nine years. Finally, the Rangers won their first postseason series in thirty-eight years, first American League pennant, and World Series."

Last Year not only did the Rangers win their first playoff series, they went on to defeat the Yankees in the ALCS. The Yankees, who beat the Rangers in previous ALDS in 1996 and 1998-1999. The Yankees beat the Rangers 3-1 in 1996, and swept the Rangers 3-0 in 1998-1999.

In 2010 the Texas Rangers finally were able to get their revenge on the Yankees, from previous postseason divisional series. The Yankees were in full control of the slugging Rangers in 1996 and 1998-1999, due to their good starting rotation and strong bullpen, with Mariano Rivera. However, it was sweet for all Rangers fans, who witnessed their Rangers dominating the Yankees, to win their first ALCS and go to their first ever World Series.

Quickly the Rangers fans forgot about the 1996 and 1998-1999 postseason outcome, where the Yankees took full control. The 1996 and 1998-1999 seasons, was the only appearances the Texas Rangers made it into postseason play. Finally 2010 the Rangers defeated the "powerful" Yankees.

The Ranges went to their first ever World Series in 2010. However, they lost to the San Francisco Giants 4-1 in the best of seven series. The Giants strong starting rotation consisting of Tim Lincecum, Madison Bumgarner, and Matt Cain slowed down the red hot Rangers lineup. Once the Giants' starters pitched six or seven innings, they could rely on their bullpen, with closer Brian Wilson shutting down the Rangers and dashing  their hopes of winning the World Series.

Even with all the great things the Texas Rangers accomplished in the 2010 season. There were questions asked: Was it a fluke? Texas, was unable to sign ace pitcher Cliff Lee to a multi-year contract over the off-season. All the critics were wondering,how the Rangers were going to defend their AL pennant, much less compete for another trip to the World Series in 2011.

Cliff Lee, who many considered the big reason the Rangers went to their first ever World Series, was a must sign. Well, the Rangers did not feel that it was in the best interest to over pay for the ace pitcher.

Critics will be critics, but the Rangers will be the Rangers. With Nolan Ryan and Jon Daniels in charge they seem to find ways to make their franchise better every year. Since the Rangers were unable to sign Mr. Lee, they did the next best thing. They looked to strengthen their defense, by adding the best third baseman in the league, Adrian Beltre. They added Yorvit Torrealba to be their everyday catcher, then traded for Mike Napoli to be a utility man.

When the Rangers traded for Mike Napoli before training camp, it did not set well with Michael Young. However,Young agreed to be the designated hitter, so the Rangers could sign Adrian Beltre to a multi-year contract. When Napoli came on the scene, Young felt like he was being squeezed out of the designated hitter role and going to lose quality at-bats.

The reason they traded for Mike Napoli, was to have another utility player, who could come off the bench to play catcher, first base, and be a designated hitter. However, unexpectedly Mike Napoli had a career year. The Rangers' Mike Napoli played a key role, down the stretch of the season. Napoli was so hot at the plate, Ron Washington could not take him out of the lineup.

Napoli has been the starting catcher down the stretch of the season, and postseason..

After Napoli beat the Rays on a game winning homer-run in game four of the ALDS, Joe Maddon said, "this is the year of the Napoli."

Michael Young demanded to be traded to another team, the Rangers were unable to find the right deal for him. The Rangers told Michael Young, the organization would grant his wish and seek to trade him to another team. However, the Rangers front office told Michael Young, they would not deal him to another team, if it wasn't in the best interest of their organization.

Michael Young went to Spring training as a Texas Ranger, never complaining to manager Ron Washington or his teammates about his situation. As everybody expected Michael Young would still play the game of baseball the same way. Michael Young is a consummate team player, no matter what conflicts he may have with the organization.

Ron Washington said, "Michael will be fine, once he's on the baseball field."

Oh! How true was that statement, by manager Ron Washington?

Well, Michael Young is still a Texas Ranger and will be for his entire career, most likely. Michael has played for one team in his eleven year career. He's the franchise player for the Rangers, and he's a team leader. The Texas Rangers have upmost respect for Michael Young and his leadership on this team.

How fitting is it?

Through all of the off-season issues, Michael Young had his best year in the major leagues, finishing third behind Miguel Cabrera and Adrian Gonzalez for the batting title. He's in the voting for the Clemente award. However, the only thing he and his teammates want to accomplish the most, is winning the World Series.

The Rangers have won back-to-back American League Championships and are going to their second consecutive World Series. The Rangers are still very young and they have one of the best farm systems in the major leagues.

"The Texas Rangers are the first team to win back-to-back American League pennants in a decade. The last team to do it was the New York Yankees."

The Rangers match-up with the Cardinals, should be a better outcome for them in this years World Series. The Rangers starting rotation is consisted of three left handed pitchers: C.J. Wilson, Derek Holland, and Mat Harrison. The Cardinals are only a .500 ball club, when facing left handed pitching.

The Rangers are so deep in their lineup, that Mr. October Nellie Cruz is batting in the seventh spot. If Hamilton and Young hit like they did in game six of the ALCS against Detroit, watch out St. Louis. The Rangers starting rotation did not win one game in the ALCS, their bullpen was credited for all of their wins.

Detroits' manager Jim Leyland said, "when Ron Washington moved Alexi Ogando to the Rangers bullpen, that was a brilliant move. Leyland went on to say, that with Ogando's stuff  coming in late in the game,it's almost like facing another pitcher such as Neftali Feliz."

Alexi Ogando was the only Rangers pitcher to beat the Tigers in the regular season,he was 3-0. Ogando was on the starting staff in the regular season, who won thirteen games, with a 3.51 era.

When the Rangers starting rotation has early trouble they have a healthy Scott Feldman, who was brilliant in game two against Detroit in the ALCS. The Rangers starting rotation has a short leash ,if they run into trouble early on in the game. The Rangers' Scott Feldman has been brilliant from the bullpen, which allows manager Ron Washington to go to his bullpen for multiple innings if necessary.  Ron Washington has so many weapons in his bullpen.

However, if the Rangers' starters can pitch a solid five or six innings, Washington can go to Ogando, Adams, and Feliz to close out the Cardinals.

St. Louis may have a little deeper starting rotation over Texas, oddly enough their bullpen won all of their games in the NLCS against the Brewers. Really both Texas and St. Louis are very similar when it comes to their pitching staff.

The Rangers have the advantage in their bullpen over the Cardinals. Both teams batting lineup has a lot of fire power. However, Albert Pujols had an extraordinary NLCS against the Brewers, while Texas' Nellie Cruz broke major league history hitting six homers in six games and thirteen runs batted in.

Albert Pujols hits in the third spot for the Cardinals, while Nellie Cruz hits in the seventh spot for the Rangers. I don't know of any major league team that's so deep in their lineup, than the Texas Rangers.

Josh Hamilton and Michael Young have been struggling throughout the playoffs. If game six of the ALCS was any indication that Hamilton and Young slumping at the plate is over, this could be a very long World Series for the Cardinals.

My World Series Prediction:

Texas 4 St. Louis 2

After the Rangers won the American League pennant on Saturday night, they were happy to go back to the World Series, of course. Every player that was interviewed said, "they still have work to do to be where they want to be at the start of the season." The young Rangers team is not just satisfied to get to the World Series, they're here to win it.

The Rangers are still a young team and they have one of the best farm systems in the major leagues. What the Rangers started in 2010, it's a start of a "DYNASTY." The Texas Rangers will be competing for the World Series for years to come.
